Read about FANMISER® and Jack Joyner in the
July 10, 2007 issue of the Santa Barbara Independent.
The article, “Inventors Save Planet,” showcases Alan
Tratner and his Green2Gold
incubator for sustainable products. FANMISER® is toted as one
of Green2Gold’s foremost success stories. Joyner praises Tratner
for the wisdom he learned in the Inventors Workshop.

Don’t Pay For Energy Costs Twice!
In walk-in refrigerators and freezers worldwide, when the compressor
goes off, the fans continue to run, wasting energy and adding heat to
the box. When the compressor comes back on because of a demand for cooling,
the fan-generated heat must be removed resulting in a second energy cost.
FANMISER® is an electronic, solid state evaporator fan
controller that operates when the compressor is off. Everyone with a walk-in
refrigeration unit needs a FANMISER® to save energy and lower their
utility costs, from sidewalk cafés in Paris to the mom-and-pop
corner
market down the street.
Businesses worldwide use walk-in refrigeration: grocery, convenience
and liquor stores, restaurants, hospitals, schools, flower shops, to mention
a few. Many utility companies now offer rebates and incentives, to both
large corporations and family owned ventures, who install evaporator fan
controllers for their refrigeration units to save energy. FANMISER®
works with utility companies and the Department of Energy (DOE) and many
segments of private industry interested in energy savings, waste reduction,
and energy conservation.
Currently, FANMISER® is also working on projects with Green2Gold
a joint project of the Environmental Education Group Foundation and Inventors
Workshop International/Entrepreneurs Workshop Educational Foundation along
with the Small Business Entrepreneurship Center.
Jack Joyner, FANMISER® inventor, has been in the refrigeration
business since 1966, and a licensed contractor since 1978. With the inception
of Air Engineering in 1978, Mr. Joyner envisioned an Energy Management
Program and saved many businesses thousands of dollars. Air Engineering
continued to grow and successfully sold in 1985.
Mr. Joyner formed Air Exchange in 2002 as a full service refrigeration,
air conditioning, heating, ventilating company with the express goal of
expanding his energy management career.
FANMISER® would be applicable when a thermostat is available at
the fan coil and senses electrical current flow. It could also be placed
at the circuit breaker panel, condensing unit, or any other place in the
system an electrical current flow can be used to determine if the compressor
is on or off. Current Sensor can detect current flow as low as one-fourth
(1/4) AMP up to 150 AMPs.
All FANMISER® products are UL approved and rated for European distribution.
